Description
The Apple Magic Keyboard with Touch ID and Numeric Keypad (USB-C version) is the full-size extended keyboard introduced in 2024.
It combines a built-in fingerprint sensor with a dedicated numeric keypad, making it suitable for professional workflows, accounting tasks, and daily macOS use.
This version features a USB-C port for charging and wired pairing. It connects wirelessly via Bluetooth and integrates directly with macOS for secure sign-in and authentication.
The extended layout includes navigation keys and full-size arrow keys in addition to the number pad.
Touch ID functionality depends on both hardware and software compatibility.
While the keyboard works for typing on many Macs, biometric authentication is available only on supported Apple silicon models running the required macOS version.
Before purchasing, confirm your Mac model and macOS version if you intend to use Touch ID.
The USB-C version has different system requirements compared to the earlier Lightning generation.
