This is an original internal battery replacement designed for the MacBook Pro 13-inch Retina Late 2012 and Early 2013 models with regulatory model number A1425 (MacBookPro10,2). It is a built-in lithium-polymer battery engineered to match the internal layout, connector, and power requirements of this first-generation 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro.
The A1425 uses Apple battery model A1437 — a 74 Wh integrated multi-cell pack. Replacement is typically required when the battery no longer holds charge, drains quickly, shows a Service Battery warning, or causes unexpected shutdowns. Because the battery is glued inside the chassis, professional installation is strongly recommended.
Late 2012 and Early 2013 A1425 units share the same battery specification. Late 2013 A1502 and newer 13-inch Retina models use a different battery and are not compatible.
Verify model A1425 on the bottom-case regulatory label before ordering. Using the wrong battery can cause charging failures or the system not detecting the pack.
